Diane Brown

Swim Instructor

Diane F. Brown is a Swim Instructor at Murphy Health & Fitness. She resides in Murphy with her husband Robert Brown and has three sons, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She has forty one years of experience as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor/Trainer and Life Guard Instructor/Trainer. Diane taught at Murphy Middle school for twenty two years, served as coach for Murphy high school and also coached the Age Group Team. Diane says she “loves teaching children and adults how to improve their swimming strokes” and believes swimming is an important life skill that all should learn.

American Red Cross First Aid and Safety, Lifeguarding.

American Red Cross CPR Certified.

Water Instructor Safety Certified.

About Linda's Class: Class is comprised of people in a wide range of age and ability. I try to gear my workouts to include every level of motivation. We provide a wide range of exercises to include everyone in the pool. We laugh, yell, and have a good time!

Swim Instructor, Toddler & Baby Swim

I was a competitive swimmer for Cherokee County for six years, a lifeguard from Red Cross for two years, and Assistant Coach for the swim team for three summers.

The water has always been a huge part of my life.

I especially adore working with children I believe that water safety is one of the most important lessons a person will ever learn.

Laurie Jones

Swim Instructor

Laurie Jones is an American Red Cross certifies Swim Instructor at Murphy Health and Fitness. She has been practicing Occupational Therapy for 38 years. She is also employed full time with Cherokee County School’s Exceptional Children’s program. Laurie believes in “helping people of all ages and varying abilities to swim and be safe in, on and around water.
