I was a competitive swimmer for Cherokee County for six years, a lifeguard from Red Cross for two years, and Assistant Coach for the swim team for three summers.The water has always been a huge part of my life. I especially adore working with children I believe that water safety is one of the most important lessons a person will ever learn.
Laurie Jones is an American Red Cross certifies Swim Instructor at Murphy Health and Fitness. She has been practicing Occupational Therapy for 38 years. She is also employed full time with Cherokee County School’s Exceptional Children’s program. Laurie believes in “helping people of all ages and varying abilities to swim and be safe in, on and around water.
